The film, as someone already stated, that was filmed on River St.
in downtown Troy is "The Age of Innocence". There is a free bus
tour sponsored by the Hudson Mohawk Industrial Gateway each
year about movies made in Troy. It is offered during Troy's Victorian
Stroll in December. The section of River Street that was used as a
setting for "The Age of Innocence" is in the midst of revitalization.
There are several new antique shops along that section and a
major rehabilitation of a very prominent building on the set, the Rice
Building, is taking place.

Most of the buildings in that area along River Street were originally
used to manufacture cast iron stoves. There are interesting pulleys
and hardware on the buildings to look at.
