A quick search of the Internet shows that Pratts Hollow is in contention, at
least in their minds, with Ithica, Rome and Cortland for being the exact
geographical center of New York. A search of the NY State Marker site does
not indicate that there is one of the blue and yellow markers with that
information on it. To top it all off when I used to live in Richfield
Springs, the local history there said IT was the geographical center of NYS.
I guess it depends on where you are standing and if you are a cartographer
or a PR person.
