On 07/07/2000 (4:00:06 PM EDT), an eMail from Ian McGiver
([log in to unmask]) was posted, from which:

"Does anyone on the list know of a (consolidated) source that lists prices
for agricultural products, goods, and services in the late 18th and 19th
centuries?"

You might want to contact the Ag School at Cornell or the Mann Library at
Cornell.

In addition to being an "Ivy League" school, Cornell is also the "A&M" for
New York State (all county extension agents in NYS are on the Cornell
faculty.)

[Cornell is a hybrid university -- it's partly private (Arts & Sciences,
Veterinarian, Architecture and Hotel Administration) and partly public
(Industrial Labor Relations, Human Ecology and Agriculture & Natural
Resources).]

[The public part of Cornell is funded by NYS but is outside the governance of
SUNY.]

Good luck.
