Good Morning [from Harry Bradshaw Matthews]:

On behalf of the members of the United States Colored Troops Institute for
Local History and Family Research, it is my pleasure to announce that 200
copies of the current issue of the USCT Civil War Digest will be distributed
free to libraries, schools, museums, and educational youth programs. Each
request should include a mailing address and contact person. This offering
is continuing the Institute's goal of outreach to youth and cultural
organizations.

Current members of the Institute reside in 12 states and Canada. The name
and state of residence for each is included in the membership roster via the
Digest. Only Professor Michael Lynch of SUNY Oneonta and General Colin L
Powell are missing from the current roster, but will be included in the next
issue of the Digest. Copies of the Digest are still available at one for $1
donation, and 12 for $10 donation, payable to Hartwick College.

Membership applications for the year 2000 are now available. Dues are $25
payable to Hartwick College. All messages should be forwarded to:

personalized certificate of membership, 2 issues of the Digest, 2 searches
per year of USCT Resources at the Institute, and other discounts. Current
members represent a diverse group from secondary education, college,
