NEWSLINE: NATIONAL ARCHIVES SUSPENDS MAIL ORDERS
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *

The National Archives has posted a response to several comments and
questions regarding safety of orders from the NARA's Washington D.C.
offices. In short, mail delivery to Archives I ceased on October 23rd,
due
to the discovery of anthrax at the Brentwood mail facility. The Archives
I
mailroom has since closed and been tested for contamination, producing
negative results. This mailroom has not reopened and orders are not being
mailed to NARA customers. Orders addressed to Archives II were not
affected.
