American History and Culture grant program. The workshops, scheduled for July 10-14 and
24-28, will feature presentations from leading scholars, hands-on demonstrations at Old Fort
Niagara, and curriculum development sessions. The workshop theme is "Crossroads of
Empire: Imperial Conflict and Cultural Rivalry at Old Fort Niagara" and emphasizes Native
American-European contact through the early nineteenth century.

Participants will receive a $500.00 stipend plus a travel allowance. Professional training credit
will be certified by Niagara University, which will host sessions, meals, and lodging. For
