Since Chuck Lynch asked his question about the "Vermont Suffers" for which
I referenced 500 pages of material in E.B. O'Callaghan's 1849-1851
four-volume series _Documentary History of New York_ (aka DHNY), I am
wondering about whether anyone has ever gone to the trouble, such as the
folks at the Making of American, Lemoyne (Jesuit Relations), and other
text-scanning projects, to get this fantastic source and the 15 volume
series of O'Callaghan's _Documents Relating to the Colonial History of the
State of New York_ (aka New York Colonial Documents or NYCD) onto the web
where more people would be able to use them?
Having worked with these texts for years I would love to have them more
user friendly and more accessible. I am very aware of the pitfalls of
O'Callaghan's "editing" but they are still a resource unparalled.
Is anyone working on such a project, and if so, how do I find out more
about it? If it is on-going or soon-to-be, I'd love to be involved in some
way! (sorry, but I must again do the apparently annual begging for gainful
employment).

Here's a few links to illustrate what I mean:
