Albany South End Ramble
Saturday, September 23, 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
In conjunction with the 7th Annual Hudson River Valley Ramble, Schuyler
Mansion State Historic Site will offer a free walking tour of Albany's
Historic South End. Led by architectural preservationist Tony Opalka and
city historian Virginia Bowers, this ramble will explore the significant
people, places, and changes that have impacted one of the city's oldest
neighborhoods. The Ramble will be preceded by a slide presentation at
the Howe Library, and will be followed by lunch on the Schuyler Mansion
grounds (lunch is $5.00 per person and must be reserved). Reservations
for the ramble required. Rain date: Sept. 24th. This event is
co-sponsored by Schuyler Mansion State Historic Site, www.nysparks.com
