A couple of people asked me for details about the John W. Jones Museum,
the home in Elmira, NY, of the one-time fugitive slave and underground
railroad agent who was responsible for the internment of the Confederate
dead of Elmira Prison during the Civil War.

I don't know the current status of the project to restore and move the
Jones house. For information, either write to:

        John W. Jones Museum
        P.O. Box 932
        Elmira, NY 14902

Or contact Lucy Brown, 607-732-1232; Donna Powell, 607-739-8971; Bill or
Barb Ramsdell, 607-733-6162.
