Try the Kent collection (88 linear feet) at the Smithsonian Archives of
American Art. It's a large collection which I am going through now. By the
way, where can one get the newsreel footage of Kent? Can you have your
editor friend get in touch with me? I'm working on a radio documentary on
Kent. Thanks.

Subject: Rockwell Kent

An editor friend is looking for a photo (if one exists) of the artist
Rockwell Kent testifying before HUAC. We know that he did in fact
testify, and we know that there is newsreel footage of the event.
But we haven't been able to find a still photo. The LC doesn't have
one, and we're told that the Kent collection at SUNY Plattsburgh
won't be cataloged for at least three more years.

Any suggestions?

cheers,
phil
