I have a graduate student interested in researching the social history of
Weeksville, a 19th-century African-American community in Brooklyn. She's
been in contact with the Weeksville Society and the ohers working for local
history in Brooklyn.

Does anyone on this list know of other contacts she should make? And does
anyone have any ideas about wher she might apply for fellowships, research
grants, or the like to help her out. She will be writing a dissertation on
the topic.

If you have anything to share, perhaps it would best to report back to me
off-list.

thanks,
phil
