I am posting this for a non list member and will pass on to him any
information that list members might have. This individual has been
researching one William Sprats, a master carpenter/builder who was
active in Washington County NY between ca.1790 and 1810. He is
specifically linked to Dorr Hall in Cambridge, NY and less conclusively
to some other houses in the area. He also has conncections to Litchfield
Connecticut, having had a role in the construction of the county
courthouse there. Sprats died in West Haven VT in 1810.

Research has already been done in the Wshington County Historical
Society and the NYS Archives, where an inventory of Sprats' household
goods at the time of his death was found. Do any list members have
further leads that might be followed? Thanks in advance for any
assistance.
