GLOVERSVILLE — The city Police Department is investigating the theft
of a historic church bell that is valued at $10,000 from a Department
of Public Works storage facility, according to a recent release.

Police said the bell is made of bronze and was turned over to the city
from the First Baptist Church located on South Main Street when the
church was demolished in 2011.
