Hi all,

First 240 quarts of fresh Orange County milk delivered to New York City from
Chester, NY by one Mr. Thaddus Selleck, Station Agent for the Erie Railroad
via Piermont, then by boat to waiting customers who paid 4 cents a quart on
1842

I have not been able to determine the precise date, but apparently it was
early in the spring of 1842. According to the New York Times, February 13,
1873, Mr. Selleck was threaten with Excommunication for shipping milk on
Sundays for meet the growing New York City demand for fresh milk.
