There is a list in the Groat/Groot genealogy website
(http://members.aol.com/crafty628/Groat.html) linked through the Schenectady
County Public Library website(http://scpl.org)
In it, below the family history, you will find an explanation of what
happened, as well as names of individuals killed, and individuals taken
captive. There was also a ballad written of the account that is also
recorded at the website. I personally lost at least three family members,
and at least six others were taken captive up to Canada.
