The book is listed in Lyle Wright's American Fiction, 1851-1875 and is available on microfilm: Wright American fiction v. 2 (1851-1875), reel H-4, no. 1078

This book doesn't turn up in either the NYTimes or the Brooklyn Eagle database for 1873-1875, though other novels published by Carleton do.
