I keep running across off hand references to a flower market conducted at
(I think) the south end of Union Square in NYC in the 1870's. I have the
impression that it was only held in the spring, but I can't find any
detailed description or discussion of the flower sales in the material I've
seen on Union Square.

Anyone have any information or source suggestions?
