This topic has certainly been popular! I just wanted to say that although
children's parents may be separated, their mom is still their mom, and their
dad is still their dad, and tracing the family histories of their parents
separated or not is important. Just because they are now living with a new
step-parent (or family) doesn't mean their genealogy has changed!
