I am researching the history of Mason General / Edgewood State Hospital
for a
website. This hospital was built as an extension of Pilgrim State
Hospital,
and was completed by the US Army during WWII, where it was known as
Mason
General Hospital. After the war, the Army gave the hospital back to
the state,
when it became known as Edgewood State Hospital. It stood on Commack
Rd. in
Deer Park, NY and was demolished in August, 1989.

I am trying to find early information on the hospital. I have had a
very hard
time tracking down key plot plans, blueprints, building specs and
maps. I
understand the original plans for the Hospital were submitted to the
NYS
Attorney General and NY Secretary of State, and every government
agency bounces
me around from office to office. I have hit one frustrating dead-end
after
  another.

Would you be able to assist me in my search?

  Much appreciated.

By the way, the website is www.edgewoodhospital.com, in case you
wanted to take
  a look.
