When composing your list of school districts, leave room for the 3 CHSD in
Nassau County. (I think these are the only CHSDs in New York State.)

A CHSD is a Central High School District.

Each CHSD is made up of 3 or more Union Free School Districts. The
respective Union Free School Districts has its own school board that controls
and operates the K-6 and middle schools as completely separate districts.
Then each of these Union Free School Districts send 2 of their board members
to form the CHSD school board, and it's this board that controls and operates
the high school(s) in the CHSD.

The 3 CHSD and the Union Free School Districts that are part of the CHSD are:

1. Valley Stream CHSD
. Union Free School District 13
. Union Free School District 24
. Union Free School District 30

2. CHSD 2
. New Hyde Park-Garden City Park Union Free School District
. Floral Park Bellerose Union Free School District
. Elmont Union Free School District
. Franklin Square Union Free School District

3. CHSD 3
. North Bellmore Union Free School District
. North Merrick Union Free School District
. Bellmore Union Free School District
. Merrick Union Free School District
