Should we reply directly to E.?  I know my ancestors owned property on
Hicks Neck in 1600s, when it was used for grazing cattle in the summer and
were gathered for winter food.

I am sure E. is familiar with the Hempstead Town Records of that period
and with Frost (1930) and the recent work of  Natalie Naylor of Hostfra
on early Hempstead.
