In February of next year, we will have the opportunity to be in New York.
My family research predates 1760 in the Orange County and Suffolk County
areas. I would appreciate advise as to which library(ies) in New York
State would potentially be the best resources for researching early New
York residents. (On a former trip, we visited the Orange County
libraries, historical and genealogical societies)

In the court records, I found a guardianship pertaining to my family for
1758 in Orange County. However, the guardianship was between two
brothers and did not mention the deceased.

I have purchased and exhausted the appropriate resources listed in:
Remington, Gordon L. NEW YORK STATE PROBATE RECORDS: A GENEALOGISTS GUIDE
TO TESTATE AND INTESTATE RECORDS (2002)

Thank you sincerely for any suggestions you may be able to provide.

L J Masters
