Can any members of this list suggest books or articles on the history of
Sing Sing prison? Any help would be much appreciated.

-- In 1968 the NYS Dept of Correction published a booklet, "Sing Sing
Prison, Ossinging, New York, Its History, Purpose, Make Up and
Program," which, among other publications, is in the NYS library. In
1971 the NYS Museum acquired several architectural components from
the early 19th c. prison structure, including a cell door which is
currently on loan to the Ossining Urban Cultural Park.
