Here are two books that might be of interest:

The Pioneer History of the Holland Purchase by O. Turner. This was republished
in 1974 by James Brunner in Geneseo, New York. It may still be available from
the County Historical Society in Batavia.

Joseph Ellicott and the Holland Land Company by William Chazanof, Syracuse
University Press 1970  ISBN 8156-0072-0

Good luck, and by the way I am interested in early Buell's from that area
(Batavia) circa 1807 if you run across any information. Thanks
