The Manuscripts and Special Collections Unit of the New York State Library
is continuing to move its collections in preparation for the 11th floor
renovation.  The current status is:

- The move of the rare books has been completed.  Books with location code
N, the atlases and the newspaper collection have been moved to their new
location and are available for paging.

- The move of the manuscripts has begun and may last until October 30.
Some manuscript material may temporarily be unavailable.

- In most cases, material requested by 5 PM will be available by noon the
next business day.

- For more information about the move or the availability of
specific collections, please call the Manuscript and Special Collections
reference desk  (518-474-6282).
