Tully Area Historical Society is also scanning and transcribing our
collections into a data base. Our reasons were - on photographs, we wished
to protect originals from handling and further light which might damage the
originals. Documents are sometimes very hard to read if hand written. By
scanning and transcribing such documents they are more available to
researchers, easier for researchers to read and many of our photographs we
have been able to restore for better viewing by the public.
