This is a harder question to answer that would appear. I did find one
source, though it is more than one hundred years old. Let us hope we can
assume that earthquakes, volcanos, and the like have not appreciably
altered the elevations. It is, "The Final Results of the triangulation of
the New York State Survey, together ...Eleventh Annual Report of the
commissioners of the State Survey." Albany: Weed, Parsons, 1887.
On Page 111 is a list of about one hundred communities with their
elevations. Page 112 has an additional list of about 75 elevations for
'subsidiary points.' The are various churches in those 75 communities.
Certainly not exhaustive, but perhaps a start? Also, have you checked out
any of the online geographic services, or a triple A tourbook?
