Re:information about the history of bluestone
mining or other quarrying efforts in New York and
the region?
Before her death several years ago, Jean Wrolsen,
artist and columnist of Saugerties NY, collected
all the articles and information she could about
Bluestone and bluestone quarrying in our area (the
location of said mining operation) and contributed
them to the local history room of the Saugerties
Public Library. It was a whole box of interesting
tidbits that should still be there. Perhaps you
could get the folks at the library to photocopy it
