Hello [log in to unmask],
I recall my parents and grandparents, as I was growing up, discussing the
Pearl Harbor attack.
I never really understood the obvious profound impact on their emotions as
they recalled the attack decades after 1941, until 9/11/2001!
True, all the circumstances, details ands responses to these two events
are indeed different. EXCEPT for the fact these attacks both came as
surprises, highly visible symbols of America were destroyed and the tragic
lost of many vibrant lives!
Both of these horrible events have had profound emotional impact on us.
Given this impact, comparing 7 December, 1941 and 11 September, 2001 is
natural and to be expected.
Respectfully,
Clifton Patrick
